New Literature Details Staco FirstLine® 924 Emergency Lighting UPS

May 12, 2008.  Dayton, OH – Staco Energy Products Co. introduces the FirstLine® 924 three-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) central emergency lighting system for 8 – 16 kW applications in a new 4-page, full-color brochure.

This new literature, which is available online at www.staco-news.com, details this true on-line, double-conversion central inverter that provides computer grade power quality for any lighting system, including incandescent, magnetic and  electronic fluorescent ballasts, high power factor compact fluorescent, high intensity discharge (HID), high pressure sodium (HSD), and metal halide (MH).

In addition to providing a continuous 90-minute (minimum) power supply during blackouts, the FirstLine® 924 isolates and protects the connected load from damaging sags, swells, harmonics, noise, and voltage imbalances in the primary AC supply.  Isolating the connected load from irregularities in the primary AC supply can significantly increase the life expectancy of lighting systems and reduce the long-term cost of ownership.

In the event of an AC power failure, the FirstLine® 924 automatically transfers to battery power, providing a continuous power supply for 90-minutes.  When power returns, the FirstLine® 924 automatically recharges the batteries in preparation for the next power disturbance.  Three-phase operations support three-phase or single-phase loads.   Input voltage rating is 208Vac or 480Vac with +/- 20% range, for an effective input range of 166-250Vac and 384-576Vac respectively, at 60 Hz.  Output voltage is regulated to +/-1% of nominal at full load.  Total Harmonic Distortion is ≤ 5% for non-linear loads, and ≤ 3% for linear loads.

A front panel LCD display includes 2 x 24 character display which shows system status and alarms.  The user-friendly control panel located on the front of the freestanding NEMA 1 enclosure allows remote monitoring through an RS232 connection.  FirstLine® 924 is made in the USA and backed by an industry-leading three-year warranty (covering both parts and labor).  Detailed specifications are available at www.staco-news.com.  In addition, numerous planned maintenance and service programs are available through an extensive network of factory trained representatives.  More information is available at www.stacoenergy.com/BuyPQ-US.html.

“FirstLine® 924 meets the life safety requirements and provides power conditioning and outage protection at an economical price.  Customers benefit from improved efficiency and a lower cost of operation for both their UPS and their lighting systems” said Staco Energy Products Co. Vice President Dave Kendall.
